मुख्यमंत्री आवास में बुधवार को विधानमण्डल दल की बैठक के अवसर पर सीडीएस जनरल बिपिन रावत के हेलीकाप्टर दुर्घटना में हुए आकस्मिक निधन पर दो मिनट का मौन रखकर उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि आर्पित की गई।
इस अवसर पर जनरल रावत का भावपूर्ण स्मरण करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि जनरल रावत का निधन देश व उत्तराखण्ड के लिए अपूरणीय क्षति है। उनका आकस्मिक निधन स्वयं उनके लिए भी व्यक्तिगत क्षति है। उन्होंने कहा कि वे सर्वोच्च सेना अधिकारी होने के साथ ही सादगी व सरलता की भी प्रतिभूति थे।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड से भी जनरल रावत का विशेष लगाव था। राज्य के विकास की उनकी सोच थी। अभी हाल ही में राज्य स्थापना दिवस के अवसर पर अपनी पत्नी के साथ वे देहरादून आये थे, उनका आकस्मिक निधन उत्तराखण्ड के लिए बड़ा ही दुःखद है।
इस अवसर पर कैबिनेट मंत्री सतपाल महाराज, डॉ हरक सिंह रावत, बंशीधर भगत, सुबोध उनियाल, श्री बिशन सिंह चुफाल, स्वामी यतीश्वरानन्द, विधायक हरवंश कपूर, हरभजन सिंह चीमा सहित अन्य विधायकगणों ने भी जनरल बिपिन रावत को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की।
