मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने चकराता क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत बुल्हाड़-बायला मार्ग पर हुए वाहन दुर्घटना पर गहरा शोक व्यक्त किया है। उन्होंने ईश्वर से मृतकों की आत्मा को शांति और परिजनों को दुःख सहने की शक्ति प्रदान करने की प्रार्थना की है। मुख्यमंत्री ने जिला प्रशासन को तेजी से राहत व बचाव कार्य करते हुए घायलों को तत्काल उपचार उपलब्ध कराने के निर्देश दिए हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि घायलों के उपचार के लिए एवं मृतकों के परिवारजनों को राज्य सरकार द्वारा हर संभव मदद दी जायेगी। कैबिनेट मंत्री गणेश जोशी, गढ़वाल कमिश्नर एवं जिलाधिकारी देहरादून घटना स्थल के लिए रवाना हो चुके हैं। मुख्यमंत्री ने जिलाधिकारी देहरादून को वाहन दुर्घटना की मजिस्ट्रियल जांच के निर्देश दिये हैं। उन्होंने परिवहन विभाग को सख्त निर्देश दिये हैं कि वाहनों में ओवर लोडिंग न हो, यदि इस तरह की कोई बात आती है, तो संबधित पर कड़ी कारवाई की जाय। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि इस तरह की घटनाएं दुबारा न हो , इसके लिए उन्होंने प्रदेश के लोगों से अपील की है ओवरलोडिंग न करें। हम सभी को स्वयं जागरूक होकर इस तरह की घटनाओं से बचना है।
आज दिनाक: 31-10-2021 की प्रात: समय करीब: 08:15 बजे थाना चकराता को आपदा कंट्रोल रूम के माध्यम से सूचना प्राप्त हुई कि चकराता- त्यूणी मार्ग पर राजस्व क्षेत्र ग्राम बायला के पास एक बुलेरो वाहन अनियंत्रित होकर गहरी खाई में गिर गया है। उक्त सूचना पर थाना चकराता से पुलिस बल और एसडीआरएफ की टीमें तत्काल मौके पर पहुंची तथा राहत एवं बचाव कार्य प्रारम्भ किया गया।
