चमोली जिले में चारधाम यात्रा को लेकर पुलिस की ओर की गई तैयारियां नाकाफी नजर आ रही हैं। यहां यात्रा मार्गों पर आये दिन जाम की स्थिति पैदा रही है। जिससे तीर्थयात्रियों को खासी दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड रहा है। जबकि पुलिस द्वारा यात्रा मार्गों पर यातयात सुचारु रखने को लेकर पुख्ता तैयारियों का दावा किया जा रहा है।
मैदानी इलाकों में स्कूलों की छुट्टियां होने के साथ ही अब बदरीनाथ धाम की यात्रा पर आने वाले तीर्थयात्रियों कीं सख्या में इजाफा होने लगा है। पुलिस की ओर से जहां जिले के नगरीय क्षेत्रों में पुलिस की तैनाती की गई है। वहीं चमोली-ऊखीमठ राजमार्ग के करीब 40 किमी हिस्से पर यातायात को सुचारु रखने के लिये कोई व्यवस्था नहीं की गई है। बता दें कि मार्ग वन क्षेत्र होने के चलते यहां चोपता और मंडल के मध्य किसी भी प्रकार से पुलिस व्यवस्था नहीं है। क्षेत्र में संचार की भी कोई व्यवस्था न होने से वन क्षेत्र में जाम लगने की स्थिति में तीर्थयात्रियों को खासी दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड रहा है। स्थानीय निवासी प्रदीप सिंह, मोहन सिंह और देवेंद्र का कहना है कि रविवार को यहां करीब डेढ घंटे तक जाम की स्थिति बनी रही। जिसके बाद स्थानीय ग्रामीणों और तीर्थयात्रियों द्वारा जाम खुलवाया गया। वहीं गोपेश्वर के पैट्रोल पम्प, सुभाषनगर और हल्दापानी में भी आये दिन जाम की स्थिति पैदा हो रही है। दूसरी ओर जोशीमठ में जोगीधारा और पैनीमोड पर जाम तीर्थयात्रियों के लिये परेशानी का सबब बना हुआ है।
यशवंत चौहान, पुलिस अधीक्षक, चमोली का कहना है कि
चमोली जिले में यातयात को सुचारु रखने के लिये नगरीय क्षेत्रों में यथा संभव वन वे सिस्टम लागू किया गया है। हाईवे के संकरे हिस्सों पर दिक्कतों को देखते हुए पुलिस की तैनाती की गई है। चोपता क्षेत्र में जाम की जानकारी मेरे संज्ञान में नहीं थी, इसे दिखवाया जाएगा। तीर्थयात्रियों को सुचारु यातयात की सुविधा दी जाएगी।
