कार्तिक मास कृष्ण पक्ष त्रयोदशी तिथि आरंभ- 02 नबंवर 2021 दिन मंगलवार को सुबह 11 बजकर 31 मिनट से
कार्तिक मास कष्ण पक्ष त्रयोदश तिथि समाप्त- 03 नबंवर 2021 दिन बुधवार को सुबह 09 बजकर 02 मिनट से
धनतेरस पूजा का शुभ मुहूर्त – शाम को 06 बजकर 16 मिनट से रात 08 बजकर 11 मिनट तक
पूजन की कुल अवधि – 01 घण्टा 54 मिनट रहेगी
पूजा और दीपदान करना फलदायी साबित होगा।
इसके अलावा धनतेरस के दिन लोग झाडू, पानी भरने का बर्तन, मां लक्ष्मी की मूर्ति और दीयों की खरीददारी भी करते हैं।
इसलिए मनाते हैं धनतेरस:
पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार, समुद्र मंथन के समय शरद पूर्णिमा को चंद्रमा, कार्तिक द्वादशी को कामधेनु गाय, त्रयोदशी को धनवन्तरि, चतुर्दशी को मां काली और अमावस्या को लक्ष्मी माता सागर से उत्पन्न हुई थीं। कार्तिक कृष्ण त्रयोदशी को धनवन्तरि का जन्म माना जाता है, इसलिए धनवन्तरि के जन्मदिवस के उपलक्ष में धनतेरस मनाया जाता है।
धनतेरस के दिन कुबेर की ऐसे करें पूजा :
धनतेरस के दिन धन के देवता कुबेर की पूजा की जाती है। मान्यता है कि उनकी पूजा करने से व्यक्ति को जीवन के हर भौतिक सुख की प्राप्ति होती है। इस दिन भगवान कुबेर की प्रतिमा या फोटो धूप-दीपक दिखाकर पुष्प अर्पित करें। फिर दक्षिण दिशा की ओर हाथ जोड़कर सच्चे मन से इस मंत्र का उच्चारण करें:
– ॐ यक्षाय कुबेराय वैश्रवणाय धनधान्याधिपतये
धनधान्यसमृद्धिं मे देहि दापय स्वाहा॥
धनतेरस के दिन इसलिए जलाया जाता है यम के लिए दीपक:
धनतेरस के दिन सोने-चांदी, धातु की चीजें, बर्तन आदि की खरीदारी शुभ मानी जाती है। लेकिन इसके अलावा धनतेरस के दिन मृत्यु के देवता यमराज की पूजा भी की जाती है। इस दिन संध्या के समय घर के मुख्य दरवाजे के दोनों ओर अनाज के ढेर पर मिट्टी का बड़ा दीपक रखकर उसे जलाएं। दीपक का मुंह दक्षिण दिशा की ओर होना चाहिए। दीपक जलाते समय इस मंत्र का जाप करें:
मृत्युना दंडपाशाभ्यां कालेन श्याम्या सह|
त्रयोदश्यां दीप दानात सूर्यज प्रीयतां मम ||
इसलिए मनाते हैं धनतेरस:

धनतेरस के दिन चांदी, सोना धातु, जैसे तांबा, कांसा, पीतल की खरीदारी की जाती है। इस दिन इन चीजों को खरीदने से मां लक्ष्मी की कृपा बढ़ती है। इस दिन आप झाड़ू भी खरीद सकते हैं क्योंकि झाड़ू को भी देवी लक्ष्मी का प्रतिक माना गया है। धनतेरस में धन और तेरस शब्दों के बारे में मान्यता है कि इस दिन खरीदे गए धन (स्वर्ण, रजत) में 13 गुना वृद्धि हो जाती है।
धनतेरस के दिन क्या करें?
इस दिन अपने सामर्थ्य अनुसार चांदी या अन्य धातु की खरीदारी करें। धन संपत्ति की प्राप्ति हेतु कुबेर देवता के लिए घर के पूजा स्थान पर दीपक जलाएं और मृत्यु के देवता यमराज के लिए घर के मुख्य द्वार के बाहर दीप दान करें। अकाल मृत्यु से बचने के लिए धनतेरस के दिन घर के मेन गेट पर बाहर की ओर 4 बातियों का दीपक जलाया जाता है। रात में इस दिन आरोग्य के लिए भगवान धन्वंतरि और कुबेर के साथ मां लक्ष्मी की पूजा की जाती है। धन्वंतरी आयुर्वेद के चिकित्सक थे, जिन्हें देव पद प्राप्त था।
