दुनिया की नजरों से दूर हिमालय में मौजूद प्रकृति की अनमोल गुमनाम था मोनाल ट्रैक,

हिमालय के कोने कोने की खाक छानने वाले पर्यटकों के लिए मोनाल ट्रैक किसी रहस्य और रोमांच से कम नहीं हैं। यहां आकर ऐसा लगता है कि धरती पर अगर कहीं जन्नत है तो वो यहीं हैं। चारों ओर जहां भी नजर दौडाओ हिमालय की केदारनाथ, चौखंभा, नंदा देवी, हाथी घोडा पर्वत, त्रिशूल सहित गगनचुम्बी हिमाच्छादित चोटियों और मखमली घास के बुग्याल के दीदार होते हैं। लगभग साढे बारह हजार फीट की ऊंचाई पर स्थित मोनाल ट्रैक मन को आनंदित कर देता है। इस ऊँचाई पर पहुंचने के बाद एक तरफ नजर दौडाओ तो पूरा घाट ब्लाॅक का भूगोल और तातडा में द्यो सिंह देवता और रामणी के बालपाटा, नरेला बुग्याल नजर आता है तो दूसरी तरफ नजर दौडाओ तो कैल और पिंडर घाटी का भूगोल दिखाई देता है। सामने नजरों में एशिया के सबसे बडे मखमली घास के बुग्याल वेदनी और आली दिखाई देता है, उसके पास रहस्यमयी रूपकुण्ड और ब्रहकमल की फुलवारी भगुवासा नजर आती है। जबकि बर्फीली हवाएं जिस ओर से आती है तो बिल्कुल सामने नंदा घुंघुटी और त्रिशूल की हिमाच्छादित शिखर आपसे गुफ्तगु करनें को मानो तैयार खडा है। कुछ देर प्रकृति के नजारों का लुत्फ उठाते उठाते आपको कई जगहों पर राज्य पक्षी मोनालों का झुंड आपको विचरण करता हुआ दिखाई देगा। देवाल ब्लाॅक के वाण गांव निवासी और रूपकुण्ड टूरिज्म के सीईओ देवेन्द्र सिंह बिष्ट कहते हैं कि यहाँ मोनालों की प्रचुरता की वजह से ही स्थानीय लोग इसे मुन्याव ट्रैक यानि की मोनाल ट्रैक कहते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि इस ट्रैक पर आपको हिमालय के सदूरवर्ती गांव, बुग्यालों, ताल, पेड़ों, जंगली जानवरों, पक्षियों और पहाड़ की संस्कृति के दीदार होतें हैं। यहां से हिमालय की कई पर्वत श्रेणी और मखमली बुग्यालों को देखा जा सकता है। यहां राज्य बृक्ष बुरांस, राज्य पक्षी मोनाल, राज्य पशु कस्तूरी मृग भी देखने को मिलतें हैं। इसके अलावा हजारों प्रकार के फूल और वनस्पति भी रोमांचित कर देती है। इस ट्रैक को वन्य जीव टूरिज्म के रूप में भी विकसित किया जा सकता है।
गढभूमि एडवेंचर के सीईओ हीरा सिंह गढ़वाली कहते हैं कि मोनाल ट्रैक प्रकृति का अनमोल खजाना है। लेकिन तमाम खूबियों के बाद भी मोनाल ट्रैक आज भी देश दुनिया के पर्यटकों की नजरों से ओझल है। सरकार और पर्यटन विभाग को चाहिए की मोनाल ट्रैक को पर्यटन मानचित्र पर लाने के लिए विशेष कार्ययोजना बनाई जानी चाहिए ताकि पर्यटन को बढ़ावा मिलेगा साथ ही स्थानीय युवाओं को रोजगार के अवसर भी मिलेंगे।

(ट्रैकिंग- 12 महीने, अवधि–3 से 5 दिन)
वाण गांव के ग्रामीणों नें मोनाल ट्रैक को पर्यटन की दृष्टि से विकसित करने को लेकर एक ज्ञापन जिला पर्यटन अधिकारी को दिया। जिसमें उन्होंने इस ट्रैक को पर्यटन मानचित्र पर लाने और ट्रैक में मूलभूत सुविधायें विकसित करने की मांग की है। वास्तव में देखा जाए तो उत्तराखंड में मोनाल ट्रैक जैसे अनगिनत गुमनाम स्थल है जिन्हें देश दुनिया के सामने लाना जरूरी है। ताकि उत्तराखंड को नयी पहचान मिल सके और स्थानीय लोगों को रोजगार।
