सितारगंज महाविद्यालय गेट पर उस समय हंगामा देखने को मिला जब अध्यक्ष पद के प्रवल दावेदार माने जाने वाले छात्र नेता राजा हलदार का शाम पांच बजे नोटिस बोर्ड पर चुनाव में अयोग्य घोषित किये जायें जाने का कालेज प्रबंधन द्वारा नोटिस चस्पा कर दिया गया जिसको लेकर छात्र भड़क उठे और अध्यक्ष के दावेदार राजा हलदार अपने समर्थकों के साथ कालेज गेट पर धरने पर बैठ गया।जिससे ।कालेज गेट पर हंगामा होता देख भारी पुलिस बल मौके पर पहुंच गया और स्थिति को नियंत्रण में किया ।छात्रों ने विद्यालय प्रबंधन पर राजनैतिक दवाव में काम करने का आरोप लगाते हुए जमकर नारेबाजी की । राजा हलदार का कहना है कि उन्हें बिना कोई कारण बताए शाम को उनका नामांकन रद कर दिया गया है कारण पूछने पर प्रबंधन द्वारा कोई भी लिखित कारण नही दिया गया ।
