जोधपुर। आसाराम को एक किशोरी से बलात्कार के मामले में बुधवार को जोधपुर की एक विशेष अदालत ने दोषी ठहराते हुए आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई। आसाराम को जेल में अब नई पहचान कैदी नंबर 130 मिली है। हालांकि वह जोधपुर की सेंट्रल जेल में पिछले करीब साढ़े चार साल से बंद है लेकिन उम्रकैद की सजा सुनने के बाद वह रात भर ठीक से सो नहीं पाया। उसने जेल अधिकारियों से कहा कि वह अनुसूचित जातिध्अनुसूचित जनजाति अदालत के फैसले के खिलाफ हाईकोर्ट जाएगा। विशेष न्यायाधीश मधुसूदन शर्मा ने जोधपुर सेंट्रल जेल में लगाई गई अदालत में आसाराम को बलात्कार का दोषी ठहराया और उसे उम्र कैद की सजा सुनाई। जबकि उसके सहयोगियों शरद और शिल्पी को अदालत ने 20-20 साल की सजा सुनाई।’’ उसपर एक लाख रुपए का जुर्माना भी लगाया। यह फैसला ऐसे समय आया है जब यौन हिंसा, विशेषकर नाबालिगों और बच्चों से बलात्कार के बढ़ते मामलों को लेकर देश में बहस चल रही है।
जज ने 453 पन्नों के फैसले में कहीं ये बातें
1 विशेष न्यायाधीश ने 453 पन्नों के अपने फैसले में इस बात को लेकर दुख जताया कि आसाराम ने अपने घृणित कृत्य से ‘‘न केवल अपने अनुयायियों की आस्था को ठेस पहुंचाई, बल्कि आम लोगों में संतों की प्रतिष्ठा भी धूमिल की।’’
2 न्यायाधीश ने पीड़िता के पिता एवं उसके परिवार की आसाराम में आस्था की तरफ इशारा करते हुए कहा, ‘‘उनके (पीड़िता के पिता) मन में आसाराम के लिए इतना सम्मान था कि उन्होंने अपने बेटे और बेटी, दोनों को मध्य प्रदेश के छिदवाड़ा में आसाराम के गुरूकुल पढने के लिए भेज दिया था।
3 उसने बुरी शक्तियों के प्रभाव से मुक्त कराने के बहाने पीड़िता को अपने आश्रम बुलाकर उससे बलात्कार किया।’’
4 उम्रकैद के साथ ही एक लाख रुपए जुर्माना भरना होगा।
साबरमती नदी के किनारे एक झोंपड़ी से शुरुआत करने से लेकर देश और दुनियाभर में 400 से अधिक आश्रम बनाने वाले आसाराम ने चार दशक में 10,000 करोड़ रुपए का साम्राज्य खड़ा कर लिया था। आसाराम की ताकतवर लोगों से दोस्ती रही है और उसे नरेंद्र मोदी, अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी एवं दिग्विजय सिंह सहित भाजपा और कांग्रेस के कई नेताओं के साथ देखा जाता रहा था। आसाराम और चार अन्य सहआरोपियों के खिलाफ पुलिस ने पॉक्सो अधिनियम, किशोर न्याय अधिनियम और भारतीय दंड संहिता की विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत छह नवंबर 2013 को पुलिस ने आरोपपत्र दायर किया था। आसाराम पर गुजरात के सूरत में भी बलात्कार का एक मामला चल रहा है। आसाराम ने 12 बार जमानत याचिका दायर की, जिसे छह बार निचली अदालत ने, तीन बार राजस्थान उच्च न्यायालय और तीन बार उच्चतम न्यायालय ने खारिज किया।
