अपनी विभिन्न मांगों को लेकर आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं का आंदोलन थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है पिछले लंबे समय से विकासखंड स्तर पर आंदोलनरत आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं आज जिला मुख्यालय गोपेश्वर पहुंचे और जिलेभर से आए आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकक्रतियो ने रैली निकालकर शासन और प्रशासन के खिलाफ नारेबाजी करते हुए जिलाधिकारी कार्यालय का घेराव किया इस दौरान आंगनवाड़ी कार्यक्रतियो ने कहा कि सरकार उनकी मांगों को लेकर संवेदनशील नहीं है। आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकत्रियो का कहना है कि वह सरकार की योजनाओं को गांव-गांव तक पहुंचाने में अहम भूमिका निभाती है लेकिन उन्हें इसका मेहनत आना उनके कार्य के अनुसार नहीं दिया जाता है उनसे 88 द 10 घंटे काम लिया जाता है लेकिन इसके अनुरूप वेतन का भुगतान नहीं के बराबर किया जाता है न्यूनतम 18000 वेतन तथा सहायिका और आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं को समान वेतन समान कार्य की मांग भी की है उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार अगर उनकी मांग नहीं मानती हैं तो वह आमरण अनशन जैसे कदम उठाने को मजबूर होंगे।
